Mike Cusick

Mortgages - West/Central

Mike Cusick is Managing Director of the Western Division for Northwestern Mutual Real Estate.  He is responsible for commercial mortgage production and portfolio management for $14 billion in mortgage loans in the western portion of the U.S.  As part of his management responsibilities Cusick oversees offices in Seattle, San Francisco, Newport Beach, Dallas, and Chicago, including over 20 staff members.

Cusick joined Northwestern Mutual in 1988.  After spending two years in the home office in Milwaukee, he transferred to the Dallas Regional Real Estate Office as a production officer.  In 1996, Cusick was promoted to regional director, overseeing all aspects of regional office operations, including mortgage and equity production, and asset management.  He rejoined the Home Office in 1998 as Managing Director of the Western Division. 

Before joining Northwestern Mutual, Cusick worked as a property manager and construction/development manager with several firms in the southwest, including Inverness Properties in Denver, Cullen Properties in Houston, and the Mission Viejo Company in Denver.

Cusick has a Bachelor Degree in Business from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and an MBA in Finance and Construction Management from the University of Denver.
